Couples Therapy Retreat

Couples IntensiveEnhancing Your Sexual Compatibility and Emotional Connection

We guide a one-of-a-kind couples therapy retreat for people who have done some work around their relationship and are interested in taking it to the next level. It is an opportunity to learn how to have connected, hot and passionate sex, as well as a close, loving relationship.

You will learn the tools that help you navigate your relationship and deepen intimacy, communication, and profound exploration of your sexual connection and your sexual desires.

As a couple, you will get the best tools that professionals can help you bring into your relationship. You will also get the opportunity to work with other students in the training to help you navigate the stuck places.

Who knew there was so much that one could learn – and enjoy learning – about how to relate and create intimacy with your partner. There seem to be so few places in life to ask questions about this topic – we don’t do that well in our society – to find out more information, to find out what other people have already learned. But the workshop was the perfect environment. The content was engaging and helpful, we practiced together and with the teachers and coaches, and we were able to bring home some great ways of relating that has opened up an already great relationship into something even better. Danielle and Celeste were masterful in how they taught and coached and in sharing the wisdom they’ve learned over their years of helping others. I couldn’t recommend the workshop any more heartily to others!

Our Teaching Style

In this couples therapy retreat, we teach in an experiential style where we offer lectures and demonstrations. You will participate in small group, experiential exercises, and supervised practices. You will practice with intimacy, vulnerability, erotic energy, honest emotional sharing, loving and intimate touch, empathetic listening, receptivity, self-awareness, taking personal responsibility and non-judgment. Please be prepared to participate fully in the experiential aspects of the course.

As an extra bonus: this is a unique couples therapy retreat that combines both training for professionals and invites you as a couple to learn about your relationship. Students with relationship coaching and sex therapy backgrounds can practice being your coach and help you when you get stuck.

I took the couple’s workshop to improve my coaching skills and got to invite my partner to take it with me. It was such an amazing experience to be there with my partner learning professional skills that immediately transformed my personal relationship. Having Danielle demo a couple’s session with us helped us understand and reverse our negative relationship vortex. We learned to have empathy for each other when it arose in our relationship so that we could resolve it quickly and get back to the fun stuff! As always with Somatica, it also helped us deepen our sexual connection to each other.

Somatica’s Unique Approach

Loving Relationships

As sex therapists, people tell us things they don’t tell anyone else. One of the things they tell us is about how shamed they often feel in couples therapy, especially when it comes to sexual desires, affairs, differences around intimacy needs, and freedom. We believe that you cannot shame someone into having real intimacy and, in fact, it is the allowance of each of your real needs, feelings, and fears into the relationship that creates ongoing intimacy and relationship satisfaction. The Somatica method is radically de-shamifying, which is hard to even imagine unless you’ve actually experienced it. When you truly see and accept your partner for who they are, the relationship will either flourish or need to shift, that is what we help you see and do.

Mind-Blowing Sex

Sex can be a big part of the glue that holds your relationships together. Unfortunately, what makes sex hot is largely misunderstood. Having a good emotional connection and strong communication is often not enough to create a hot sexual connection. If you are having a good relationship but still having sexual challenges, you are not alone – we hear this from couples all the time. In this couple’s retreat, you will explore the dynamics between your sexual connection and your attachment and intimacy. You will also learn to explore and define each of your hottest sexual moviesand share your biggest turn-ons as well as practicing how to give them to one another! By sharing your deepest and most vulnerable longings, you can have a sex life that is truly arousing and fulfilling. We will also talk about sexual issues that couples face such as affairs, sexless marriages, low sexual desire, erectile dysfunction, and more.

Fairness In The Bedroom

People come to us all the time feeling guilty about their needs in the bedroom. Instead of being really clear about what they want and seeing whether their partner is up for it or not, they don’t ask at all or only ask for a small percentage of what they need, feeling that everything in the bedroom needs to be tit for tat.
